Electric Power
The Nissan Leaf is powered by a 147-horsepower electric
motor with a 40 kwh lithium-ion battery pack and a single-speed
transmission. If you're looking for a little more driving range, you can
upgrade to the Nissan Leaf Plus that delivers a 214-horsepower electric
motor with a 62 kwh lithium-ion battery. This engine brings your
driving range up to a maximum of 226 miles, where the standard engine
set up brings you a 150-mile driving range.
The Nissan Leaf offers composed handling and a lively ride
for your daily driving. You'll also love that the regenerative brakes
aren't as "grabby" as many competitors regenerative braking systems are.
Plus, the available e-Pedal system offers a unique feature of slowing
down the car when you release the accelerator pedal.
